Expulsion-Flight is a series of twenty-eight photographs, plus texts and a map, made in July 1993 in Graz, Austria. The photographs are portraits of children, women and men, refugees from Bosnia-Herzegovina now dwelling in three different camps in Graz. One of the refugees assisted Furuya, translating from German to Serbo-Croat and explaining the project to his fellow refugees. Each subject was asked the same set of short questions, and these were then assembled into five pages of text. The former hometowns of the subjects are designated on the map.
